Know where every herd goes β€” twice a day

Graze Planner turns your rotation into a clear AM/PM plan: which paddock, for which mob, with rest days tracked automatically. No pasture walks. No spreadsheets at 5 am.

The 4 am problem

Eighty paddocks. Five mobs. Two moves a day. One person who knows the rotation.

🧠

It's all in your head

Rest days, who grazed where last, which paddock is wet β€” the farm manager is the single point of failure.

⏱️

Decisions eat the morning

By the time you've worked out AM moves, the cows are already waiting at the gate.

πŸ“‹

No audit trail

When something goes wrong β€” overgrazing, wrong paddock β€” there's no record of who decided what.

Suggest β†’ Approve β†’ Confirm

Three steps. Every grazing decision recorded. Nothing happens without your say-so.

1

Suggest

The engine ranks paddocks by rest days, your rotation history, distance from the dairy, and adjacency β€” then proposes a pick for each AM/PM slot.

2

Approve

Review on the dashboard or 10-day planner. Accept, override, or clear. Collision warnings flag if two herds would share a paddock.

3

Confirm

After cows graze, one tap locks it into an immutable log. Rest days update. Reports and maps stay in sync.

Built around the AM/PM rhythm

Everything a grazing manager needs β€” nothing that needs a PhD in remote sensing.

πŸ“…

10-day planner grid

Every herd, every session, colour-coded by status. See today, tomorrow, and the week ahead at a glance.

πŸ”„

Rest-day rotation

Suggestions based on days since last grazed and your farm's target rest period β€” no plate meter required.

πŸ„

Multi-herd & buckets

FRESH, STALE, BUCKETS, heifers, dry cows β€” each with their own rules. Continuous grazing for non-lactating mobs.

πŸ—ΊοΈ

Farm map & laneways

Draw paddocks, place gates, build your laneway network. See routes from the dairy and who's where today.

🚧

Collision prevention

Two herds can't be suggested into the same paddock on the same session. Override shows a warning before you commit.

πŸ“±

PWA & field use

Install on your phone. Confirm grazing from the paddock. Static pages cache for patchy mobile coverage.

In production on real farms

Not a demo β€” daily use through a full season.

We run five mobs across eighty-odd paddocks. Before Graze, the rotation lived in one person's head. Now the whole team can see the plan and confirm moves.

FP
Forbes Dairy Partnership
NSW Β· 5 herds Β· 80+ paddocks

Heifers and dry cows stay on their blocks for weeks. The system logs occupancy daily so rest days don't drift while they're still eating the same paddock.

Continuous grazing mode
Non-lactating mobs Β· auto daily logs

The map with gates and laneways means new staff can see where cows walk. Distance from the dairy is factored into suggestions automatically.

Common questions

Do I need to measure pasture cover? β–Ύ
No. Graze works on rest days and your grazing history β€” the same way many farms already rotate. No plate meter, no satellite subscription.
Can I override a suggestion? β–Ύ
Always. The system recommends; you decide. Overrides are logged with a reason so you can review decisions later.
How do heifers and dry cows work? β–Ύ
Non-lactating mobs use continuous grazing β€” they stay on a block until you move them. The system creates a daily grazing log while they're in place so paddock rest days stay accurate.
Does it work offline? β–Ύ
The app installs as a PWA and caches pages for patchy coverage. Confirm and override requests queue when offline and replay when you're back on signal.
Is my farm data isolated? β–Ύ
Yes. Every query is scoped to your farm. Other customers cannot see your paddocks, herds, or grazing history.
